Hello everyone,

My name is Kubra, and I am delighted to be your child’s MS teacher this year. I consider myself citizen of the world since I was born in Istanbul, had lived 8 years in London, after getting my British nationality followed my heart to Lyon. I have had the opportunities to teach English in various international and Montessori schools in Lyon. I have joined this wonderful team 3 years ago. 

I’m passionate about nature,clean energy, ecology and zero waste. I enjoy going to the operas and theatres regularly. In the summer I volunteer in teaching English to the foreign children. 

Although I will be teaching in English rest assured that we will be following French curriculum, My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that each child is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and learning styles. I strive to create a classroom environment that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a desire for learning.

In our classroom, we focus on holistic development. This means we pay equal attention to intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. I believe in the power of play-based learning, where children learn through exploration and discovery. This approach allows children to gain an understanding at their own pace and in their own way, to make ‘learning’ a meaningful experience.

I also put confidence  in the importance of building strong relationships with each child. I spend time getting to know them individually, understanding their needs, and tailoring my teaching approach accordingly. This helps me to create a safe environment where every child feels valued, understood, and confident.

Communication with parents and caregivers is a crucial part of my teaching approach. I believe in maintaining open lines of communication, providing updates on your child’s progress, and being available to discuss any concerns or questions you may have.

I am excited to embark on this educational journey with your children.  This year will be filled with joy, positive approach, growth and so much more!
